Changing Lives Through Sport

Leeds Rhinos Netball

No ALT tag specifiedA new and exciting venture for netball in Yorkshire and beyond was launched in 2017 with Leeds Rhinos and Leeds Rhinos Foundation, committing to supporting the country's most popular women's team sport.

Leeds Rhinos Netball will deliver training hubs, camps and workshops across the region and beyond with the ultimate aim of securing a Superleague franchise.

Rhinos rugby league stars came together with more than 150 netball players, parents, partners and coaches from across Yorkshire and beyond for the formal launch on Thursday.

As well as working as part of the Leeds Rhinos family, Leeds Rhinos Netball is exploring links with Leeds Beckett University and hoping to establish a long-term partnership.

Leading Leeds Rhinos Netball will be the former Yorkshire Jets head coach, ex-international player and current England technical coach Anna Carter and she will be working closely with the Leeds Rhinos Foundation to support their aim of changing lives through sport.

New Dates for Trials are now open for girls to join the Leeds Rhinos Netball team

Held on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th September 2018, the Rhinos will be looking to add more new faces to their squads, ranging from under 13s training squad to under 19s elite squad. For a fee of £15, girls in all categories can come to the Leeds Beckett campus at Headingley to par take in the trials.

Following the process, if successful, players will be invited to the screening process before an official offer to join the squads. This will be for the upcoming 2018/19 season, for which training starts on the 10th September for all age groups.
