Sporting Background: I have played Rugby League as a schoolboy for my City and County and for my Amateur club representing the Leeds & District at youth level. I played professionally and Amateur Rugby League until my late 30s and I am still playing our wonderful game in the form of Masters Rugby League. Other sports include Judo and Karate and most recently I have taken up Kayaking. I turn out annually for the Leeds 10K.
Biggest Achievement: Bringing up my 2 children and watching them grow into good human beings.
Role Model:
In sport: School Teacher Terry Hebblethwaite, big thanks to him for introducing me to Rugby League.
In life: My Mum & Dad.
Best Sporting Moment: Watching my first Challenge Cup Final, Leeds v St Helens 1978 and witnessing the Aussie Invincibles tour of 1982, inspirational for our sport at the time.
