Neil Clephan

Neil was for over 20 years Headteacher of Roundhay School in NE Leeds, during which time it became one of the first 'All-through' schools in the region educating circa 2500 students from the ages of 4 to 18 being first rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in 2007. He continues to be professionally involved in education across the region in a variety of roles including as one of the first National Leaders in Education. In 2016 Neil became an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to education.

He is also currently a charity trustee board member and co-chair of Jigsaw (The centre for visitors to Armley jail) as well recently becoming a trustee of the Leeds Grand Theatre and Opera House. Neil is a director of the Brigshaw Learning Partnership MAT and for the past ten years has been a lay member on the Council of the University of Leeds. He and his family are keen sports fans and they very much enjoy being Rhinos season ticket holders.
